Mom,

Thank you for taking care of me, my brother and sisters, and for loving dad. Thank you for all the behind-the-scene things you did that was never revealed to me. Forgive me for all the heartache I've caused and the failings I still have, to include not calling of visiting as much as I should. I thought it would be fitting to write this tribute to you. I'm confident you know that we all are forever grateful for all you've done and that we love you dearly but, this makes it official.

Thank you for the love and transparency of a great childhood. Thank you for faithful prayers and a home filled with love and security. Thank you for not wavering during tough times. Thank you for modeling and sharing your faith in God. Here is a poem I wrote through laughter and tears:
