Answers to questions:

Is sexual expression a need or a want?

Ah, the question that jumps starts our study, and discussion of homosexuality. In short, it (sex) is a want and not a need. I must confess this question confused me when it was posed during last weeks study but by the time I got home a light went on. While food and water is need, the desire to express ourselves sexually is just that, a desire. A strong desire but not a need. I must grudging say; I will not die if I don’t have an intimate relationship with my wife. We’ll leave it at that :) The apostle Paul said:

For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. 1 Cor. 7:7-9

While this (above) speaks of the God ordained marriage relationship; the tie to homosexuality is the fact that sexual expression, of any kind, is a want and not a need. No one is born a homosexual, it is a choice. To be continued ... Selah.
