Can we believe what we've heard, interpretation matters, what's in the Word. The word of the day, most important is repent, where does it come from and what has it meant? Secular usage is feeling sorrow of wrong done, regret or remorse emotional dissatisfaction. Religious use is feeling, contrite over sin, attempts to change ways emotional reaction. God's way is turning, commands denying one's self turn to God from idols, and sin is then left: Fighting a losing battle as God's Spirit is true, the victory is in Christ when the Word is in you. |
