This One's For The (girls) Women

Woke up early this morning (November 10, 2006) with women on my mind. Not in the way you might expect though. My thoughts were consumed with the heartache women are receiving at the hands of men. This is primarily to all women who are single or single again; this is what I call The Man Filter.

ABSTAIN FROM SEX OUTSIDE OF THE MARRIAGE RELATIONSHIP

I think it was Einstein who said: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, while expecting different results."

You may be thinking, what does he know, he's a man. :) Well, God says:

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Genesis 2:24

What does God know? He (as a smile comes across my face) knows everything and therefore knows what's best for us. Sex is to be reserved for marriage. No, I won't debate the gender of God. He is a spirit (John 1:18 & 1 John 4:12).

Any man that truly loves a woman will sacrifice all in pursuit of her; why shouldn't sex be one of those sacrifices? Yes, there are deceivers out there who will try and wait you out and offer many smooth lines like: "I LOVE YOU, I CAN WAIT." Your inward drive and conviction must be, "I'll see to it that you do."

Also, there will be men who (out of ignorance) will honestly not understand what's best for the both of you, and want sex. This is a natural rarity; most men are selfish, trust me I know.

Bill Cosby said jokingly, "Men are filthy and dirty, I know, I use to be one before I got marriage" (paraphrase).

This bill says, in all seriousness; "I was filthy and dirty before I was married and remained that way until approximately 17 years into my marriage, until I trusted Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.

THE MAN FILTER works every time.

BTW, this is not man bashing. My hearts desire is that men might give women the honor they deserve and recognize that they are a gift from God (Ephes. 5:25). My prayer is that men and women avoid the consequences associated with this lack of judgment; which includes broken and strained relationships.
