Ted Haggard's Condition

Oh no! Ted Haggard's a sinner! Well, in all seriousness; I am amazed that we are shocked when humans sin. I agree that it is hypocritical to judge the very sin you are involved in (if he is guilty) but, the truth still prevails; homosexuality, as with anything that doesn't please God, is sin. God hates all sin equally. It doesn't matter if it's you, me or Ted Haggard; all have sinned and all of us are, at present, sinners. Now, God hates sin and cannot co-exist with it therefore, we have a dilemma. How are we to relate to God when we are, by our actions, His enemies? Here comes the good part; even though we are sinners, God loves us and has made a way that we don't have to pay the penalty for sin.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.Romans 6:23

We are unable to pay the debt therefore, Christ did it for us.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Cor. 15:3-4

All we have to do is confess our sins and turn to God from idols, through Jesus Christ. As for the Ted Haggard situation, this is why true belivers follow Jesus Christ and not men. Jesus Christ is perfect, pure, holy, undefiled and separate from sinners. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow; the King of Kings, Sovereign and still on the throne. Do you believe this?

If not, are you willing to stand before God and say "Well, Ted Haggard did it." This didn't work for me with my earthly father so I'm convinced my heavenly father will be just in His judgment.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7
