Pres. Obama, one year later

So, how was that first year?

Are we having buyers remorse? Maybe, maybe not. It appears that President Obama is having a rough go of it. His policies are just not going over well. The economy, jobs, healthcare, cap and trade, restoring our standing in the world, illegal immigration, closing club gittmo', transparency in office, getting out of the war in Iraq, winning the war in Afghanistan. Not a one initiative even out of the gate, yet.

So, what's to come? A task force to end childhood obesity in ten years at the cost of 10 billion; Another stimulus, (excuse me) jobs bill to "get America back to work". I'll believe it when I see it.

With this said, I'm sure there will be some accomplishments but the start has been cool. No, not cool as in good but cool as in cold. Maybe global warming will eventually kick'in and President Obama's administration will catch on fire and get going.

Seems unlikely though as D.C. (at the logging of this, 9 Feb 2010) is bracing for its second snow storm in a matter of days; windmills elsewhere are failing due to the winter freeze; along with this being one of the most snowy and cold winters in several cities recent history. So much for global warming.

Well, buckle up; year two. Where can I get one of those "Miss Bush Yet" signs?

Watch, wait, and pray.
