Consider the season and what is at stake, it’s quite nutty just like the cake. Red, green and yellow holiday cheer, never once considering flying reindeer? Warm down south the pan-handle’s a-glow, the north’s frosting covered in snow. Twinkling lights a Christmas makes? or are we nuttier, than we cakes. Waiting on Santa’ the big red guy, telling children it’s true what’s actually a lie. Ignoring the reason for Christmas gifts, brought by the Magi to a toddler who lifts: Mankind from darkness to see a great Light; Christ the Savior to those who don’t fight: His call to repent, a woo to be still, reach the end of yourself, surrender to His will: Consider the season and what is at stake, salvation, eternal life or nutty fruitcake. |
