A Balanced Supreme Court?
- consider: the fog of war
During this lull, before the supreme political *battle of Armageddon; consider something that is being lost in the fog of war. It concerns the idea that the balance of the court may be changed. The media reports that if / when Judge Alito is confirmed, “there will be five Catholics” on the court. The other justices are labeled as one “in Judaism and the rest Protestants”.
I am of the opinion that there was, and is, an undisclosed bias that caused the failure of Ms. Mier's appointment, and it’s the fact that she attends an evangelical church. Additionally, an evangelical Christian association is the reason for the disdain of President Bush here and throughout the world. For the unaware, the word for this is “persecution”. Persecution is the common, natural, and expected plight of anyone who is evangelical. Note this recent evidence:
Chinese get prison time for Bible delivery
Religious persecution in China has reached the point that distributing Bibles is earning a three-year prison sentence. Cai Zhuohua,34, a Beijing underground church leader, was sentenced yesterday to three years in prison for distributing Bibles and other Christian materials. His wife, Xiao Yunfei, got two years, and her brother Xiao Gaowen was sentenced to 18 months...They were arrested September 2004... Washington Times, 9 Nov. 2005
The Biblical truth of this is fascinating; most do not see this as being important or valid because the fog of war blinds them. The war I speak of is a spiritual one. Not having a personal relationship with God, many are unable to see Him working in the affairs of men and women. Actually, the judgments of God are interwoven in the lives of His creation. Being sovereign, He also directly intervenes as He sees fit. Negative consequences for bad choices (choices contrary to God’s ways) are assured. Conversely, Godly choices are rewarded.
This gets us back to the balance of the court: If the majority of the court is Catholic and are true to their foundation for truth, justice, right and wrong; will this lead to positive or negative results?
Consider: What is the foundation for truth to all “religious”, agnostic, atheistic or otherwise persons? Is their foundation for truth, justice, and right or wrong 100% reliable?
Consider: The foundation for truth to an evangelical is Jesus Christ. He is perfect, pure, prophet, priest, and King. He is the creator, Savior, humbling stone to all who believe and stumbling stone for those who don't believe . Christ is the great separator in the fog of war. You are either with Him or against Him.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:31
This pending political battle concerning Judge Alito (i.e. Roe vs. Wade) is vanity in the big scheme of things. God is still on the throne and all must come to Him, His way.
*God willing, the real battle of Armageddon is way off in the future but, if it were to happen today, which way are you gonna’ run?
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
Consider Christ.
