This is an interesting title for a forum. Once again it comes down to one’s worldview. When my father passed away, shortly after 911, I naturally mourned but it was also comforting in that I knew that obstacles are common to man and death is the greatest one. No one avoids death and when we are ready for death all other obstacles are put in perspective.
I’m convinced that it is possible to face every obstacle with 100% confidence that we can overcome them. Even the greatest one :) The key, I like to say, is to "anticipate the rain because, the forecast calls for rain." The question is , are you in the ark? God provides comfort an assurance that He will be with you through every storm if you have a personal relationship with Him. We suffer if we try to face obstacles alone. Christians, who genuinely follow the teachings of Christ, know that "God has not given us the spirit of fear." We grieve but have the "peace that passes all understanding through all circumstances." The remedy for obstacles is personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Getting to really know Him is the complete answer for overcoming obstacles. Asking God to forgive our personal sins, believing Christ died for us and surrendering our lives to Him, changes everything. He is the ark, our shelter and present help in troubled times. He also is the source of every good thing in our lives. My prayer is that you get to know Christ.
