Nigerian Scam Gets “Religion”

Lately I’ve noticed that the infamous Nigerian scam has changed; I have seen several lately claiming Christianity. For instance, here’s a portion of one: “…I am married to Dr. Harry William… he died in the year 2004. We were married for eleven years without a child…He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Before his death we were both born again Christians. Since his death I decided not to re-marry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which the Bible is against...”

It goes on, 10 Million Dollars to be “donated to a church or Christian individual…etc, etc…”

A true Christian could never fall for this as it is greed and misrepresents scripture. When we know what the Bible says the liar is exposed:

For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. Romans 7:2

I smile at the fact that she didn’t say: “I decided to not to re-marry or have sex outside my matrimonial home…”

Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches. Psalm 73:12

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Oh Lord, thank you for your promises.

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Titus 2:13
