James Inhofe, a Republican senator from Oklahoma, once said that global warming is the greatest hoax every perpetrated on the American people.

I don’t know where Mr. Inhofe got his evidence for this accusation but I believe he is not far from the truth. Here’s a look at some issues I believe fall into the top greatest hoaxes ever perpetrated on America, and all people:

6 - Sexual Harassment & Diversity Training

A wave of deception is being put forth that Sexual Harassment & Diversity Training has something to do with harassment. This is merely a failed attempt to lull America and the world into accepting homosexuality. Homosexuality is wrong and will never be right, even if it becomes the-law-of-the-land. Sex is to be experience between one man and one woman in the marriage relationship; as God designed it. Any perversion will (and does) cause dire consequences to the family, society, and individuals involved.

5 - Global Warming

I agree that global warming is a hoax in that it is junk science or ignorance at best. My evidence you say? God requires us to be good stewards of everything He has entrusted to us. The environment is part of that. With that said, science says we have been spinning in space for some time now (some say millions if not billions of years) in imminent danger of Volkswagen sized asteroids; and more recently the danger is that we are heating up; we are still here. Consider; are we getting warm to fulfill Biblical prophecy or are these latest weather events the natural sequence of things? What prophecy you say? The prophecy of destruction by fire (2 Peter 3:12). Fear not, scripture is clear, war and natural disasters are just the beginning of sorrows, the end has not come, yet (.Matthew 24:6-8). Global warming won’t be our ruin because God says personal sin will cause our demise and not our Sport Utility Vehicles.

4 - Privacy Issues and Individuals Rights (Supreme Court Justices)

This is the deception that says, We are concerned about the privacy of women and the abuse of an individual’s rights. Therefore, we must attack conservative potential Supreme Court appointees. Actually, it’s about Roe vs. Wade. Abortion is merely a selfish act; the killing of a person created in the image of God. Calling it a privacy issue or an infringement on rights doesn’t make it right. God determines what is right and wrong. He has the final say on the abortion issue on judgment day.

3 - Islamic terrorism is radical

The entire idea that a peacful religion has been high-jacked is a hoax. There is no such thing as a peaceful religion. Religion is nothing. What is Christianity then, you say? To be a Christian is to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ. Religion is nothing, relationship is everything. A relationship with the right person is even better yet. The greatest relationship is the personal one available with God through Jesus Christ. This is the relationship that allows us to really live. Consider: This is what separates Christ followers from all others: Christ is alive, all others are either dead or will be.

2 - Evolution

The second largest hoax ever is Darwin’s theory of evolution. The questions that come to mind are:

• Where did the first organism come from?
• Where are the intermediate species?
• What are we evolving into?

1 - God is dead

The greatest hoax ever perpetrated is that God is dead. Either from ignorance or pride (flat out disobedience), we have forgot about God to our detriment. We have no foundation for absolute right and wrong. We are all doing what we think is right. It is quite interesting that we don’t here calls for Separation of Church and State during tragedies (i.e. 911, Tsunami, Katrina, Earthquakes or Rita). The call is, when times are tough, you’re in our thoughts and prayers. Are we praying to a god who is dead, doesn’t exist or doesn’t care? If we live as if there is no God; He grants our wishes and we are on our own. How are we doing? Oh, that we might repent and turn to the One true God via His son Jesus Christ. Dear God, have mercy on us, Your grace is sufficient.
