CONNECTIONS

NewsLetter Apr 21, 2010 / issue 26

Welcome to CONNECTIONS...

...Double-Down Day,

It’s good to have you join us. What is “Double-Down” day? It’s the day we set apart to attempt to double the amount of people at our wednesday Bible study. We have invited someone, not affiliated with our local church, to attend; and that also applies to you:

We are also taking this opportunity to begin a push for “virtual members” to CONNECTION\S. Please see “God Can answers” below...

All for Him,
Jon, Tammy, Shane, Jennifer, Bill & Dean

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. Ephes. 5:1-2

GOD CAN ANSWERS

Have a question or comment you'd like answered?

We would like you to become a member of CONNECTIONS. If you cannot physically get to The Lodge (located in the tranquil woods of Breezy Hill in Graniteville, SC), we would like you to become a virtual member.

The first, and most important, thing we’d like you to know is that God loves you, and He desires a personal relationship with you through Jesus Christ. The fantastic thing about God is that He loves us even when we are not lovable; whosoever will, can come.

I’m reminded of a rain analogy; in scripture rain is a symbol of God’s blessing. Just as you and I cannot stop it from raining, we cannot stop God from loving us. With that said, you can get out of the rain (taking shelter or raising an umbrella) by choosing to reject God’s love. Putting up an umbrella of sin always yields undesirable consequences as no sin goes unpunished; but through it all God continues to love you.

God does have an answer for all of the issues of life. When all else fails, and it will, in the person of Christ you can find contentment, abundant life now, and a home in heaven someday by trusting Christ as you personal Lord and Savior.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Cor. 15:3-4

We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19

Some time ago this was a common saying: “Christ is the answer”. This is only true if you have a question. The only requirement for virtual membership to CONNECTIONS is a question mark for a brain; or at least a desire to have your questions answered.

Please pass questions to countdown21@gmail.com and return here (God Can answers via the CONNECTIONS Newsletter) for the posting.

All questions will be posted anonymously, and answered, in-turn. Remember: Life with contentment is great gain. In the times we live in today, we need answers for the issues of life.

EXPANSIONS & CORRECTIONS

CONNECTIONS meets on Wednesdays at The Lodge. 6:30 - 8:00PM

‘Remember, we’re praying for you’.

Disclaimer: All questions are welcomed and prayerfully considered, but all questions are not equal. For instance, profane questions may be ignored completely; also, recently the television show (Bones) posed a twisted version of a frequently asked, silly, question:

"Can God make a rock He would not be able to role?"

These types of questions may or may not be answered. The answer in this case is no, because everything God does is purposeful, decent, right, and just. He cannot do anything silly.

ps. Spelling and grammatical errors are free
